CR Day 2026
The UIC College of Dentistry’s annual Clinic and Research Day (CRDay) brings together faculty, students, and staff to celebrate and share research discoveries. Informative poster sessions highlight the work of at least 120 trainees including dental students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and research associates.

Continuing Education: Eligible for 3 CE credits
Keynote Speaker: Jacques Nor, DDS, MS, PhD, Dean & Donald A Kerr Collegiate Professor of Dentistry, University of Michigan School of Dentistry
Faculty Speakers:
- Dr. Luisa DiPietro, professor, Department of Periodontics; director, Center for Wound Healing and Tissue Regeneration
- Dr. Sath Allareddy, department head and professor, Department of Orthodontics
- Dr. Shlomo Elbahary, visiting clinical associate professor, Department of Endodontics
Keynote Speaker Presentation Learning Objectives:
- Identify the current scientific evidence supporting the use of dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) for dental tissue regeneration.
- Compare DPSC-based regenerative strategies with conventional treatment approaches for necrotic immature permanent teeth.
- Recognize key steps in a proposed clinical workflow for the application of DPSC in dental pulp regeneration.
Poster Presentations Learning Objectives:
- Discuss current important research questions in oral science and dentistry.
- Describe recent findings in basic and clinical research in the oral sciences.
- Describe new research techniques that are being used to address novel hypotheses in oral health research.
